Add Video to Your Website Using a Mac

Macs have a rich history of being very good tools to edit and manage video media. But just like any other application (word processing, spreadsheet, browser) there are differences between Mac video software when you compare it to Windows or Linux. This section is designed to show you how to add video to your website, specifically for Mac users.

Most Macs come pre-equipped with a video editing software program called iMovie. iMovie can help you capture your video (move it from your video camera to your Mac if you're using an analog/tape-based camcorder), edit it, and get it ready to publish to your website. Normally, you'll need a separate program to format and compress the file before you add it to your website.
